September 2019 Car of the Month
This was 1952. I was 15 at the time, thoroughly car-crazy, but lacking a license. My friend, Norm, probably 18, was licensed to drive. We were close neighbors living in a WWII-era housing project in Vallejo, maybe 30 or 40 miles from our target. Norm owned a 1929 Chevrolet roadster we took off-roading whenever the impulse struck.
