This gallery contains images and descriptions of club members cars.
I purchased the car in May 2000 off of eBay from a dealer in Little Rock Arkansas.
When the car arrived the engine had no compression, the electrical system was burned out from a fire, the bottom two feet of the wood frame was rotted.
I completed a 13 year long frame off restoration in my garage that included replacing body wood , electrical, glass, Brakes, paint, engine rebuild by local shop and interior.
The sheet metal was in good shape after stripping the body down and I replaced the existing bondo with lead.
The 1939 LaSalle sedan was 3,740 pounds of luxury available at the bargain price of $1,320. For that price the buyer got a baby Cadillac with a 322-cubic-inch V-8 engine that delivered 125 horsepower.
I purchased this from a member of the H.H. Franklin club back in 2007, although my father has a 1919 Franklin that he had since he was 13 (it was purchased new by my grandfather) so I have had Franklin blood for as long as I can remember.
